What to know before you sign up

Success by Sesame is a subscription to a clinician, not to a drug. Sesame is a marketplace: you choose the provider, and the $99 a month (or $59 a month if you prepay a year) buys video visits, unlimited messaging and, outside nine listed states, the lab work. Sesame bills nothing for the medication. The prescription goes to NovoCare or LillyDirect at the manufacturer's own self-pay price, which is why its page can print "No markups on medication". Sesame does not bill health insurance for the program, but if you have coverage your provider files the prior authorization for the drug, and the page says a covered Wegovy pill or pen can be as little as $25 a month.

Read the promo dates before you count on the $199 figure. The $199 first two months of Wegovy or Ozempic is Novo Nordisk's offer for new self-pay patients, valid through December 31, 2026, then $349 a month for Wegovy at every dose and for Ozempic up to 1 mg, and $499 for Ozempic 2 mg. Foundayo's $149 and $199 tiers are also a dated offer, running through the same date.

The refund rule is tight: cancel at least three hours before your first visit for a full refund; once that visit has happened the first month is not refunded, and fees for past months are never returned. Sesame sells no compounded semaglutide; its own page says it is "not currently available through Sesame".

Is Success by Sesame legit?

The program is run by Sesame, Inc., whose Terms of Service are governed by New York law and were last updated August 11, 2026. Searches of the FDA warning-letter list, the FTC case library and state attorney general and medical board actions on September 23, 2026 turned up nothing against Sesame, Inc. (the FDA hits for "sesame" are food-allergen letters). It prescribes only FDA-approved GLP-1s and routes the prescription to the manufacturers' own pharmacies.

What does Sesame's weight-loss program cost each month?

The subscription is $99 billed every 28 days, or $59 a month on the annual plan (3-month and 6-month plans sit in between). That covers the video visits, messaging and clinical care. The medication is a separate charge: the Wegovy pill and Foundayo start at $149 a month cash pay, Wegovy and Ozempic pens are $199 a month for two months and then $349 ($499 for Ozempic 2 mg), and Zepbound starts at $299 a month.

Can I use insurance with Success by Sesame?

Not for the subscription, which Sesame keeps cash pay and says may be HSA or FSA eligible. For the medication, yes: your Sesame provider works with your insurer on prior authorization paperwork, and the page quotes covered prices as low as $25 a month. Sesame notes that Medicare and Medicaid typically do not cover GLP-1s for weight loss.

Does Sesame offer compounded semaglutide?

No. Sesame's semaglutide page states that compounded semaglutide is "not currently available through Sesame" and that its providers can discuss the FDA-approved alternatives instead.
