Inventory and standards

VitalDecades is a healthspan reference for adults managing their own long-term health: biomarker ranges, screening schedules by decade, validated self-tests and reviews of health services. This page is for buyers and verification vendors. It states what the inventory is, shows the measurements behind the claim, and links the place to check each one.

Commercial density, measured

Measured

The share of a rendered page that is commercial surface, measured on the heaviest page on the site and set against the point where the advertiser trade bodies place a made-for-advertising site.

17.2%

Our heaviest surface

30%

Where MFA begins

0% 17.2% 40% 30% limit
Axis is 0 to 40% of page area. The heaviest surface is /weight/, at 17.2% on desktop and 23.0% on mobile, where the same units stack into a narrower column. Every other measured surface sits lower.

Method
Union area of every commercial unit on the rendered page, by its data attribute, over the page area. Desktop 1440x900, mobile 390x844, after scrolling so lazy images load. scripts/measure_commercial_density.mjs.

Reference point
ANA, 4A's, WFA and ISBA, Made for Advertising definition, 2023-09. Their wording is an ad-to-content ratio "usually at least twice the internet average, e.g. 30+ percent for desktop".

There are no audience figures on this page

This site launched in August 2026. Its traffic is small and its history is short, and a reach number here would be both unimpressive and unverifiable, so there is not one. Anything we told you about audience today you could not check, and the point of this page is that you can check all of it.

What we will share, on request and from the source rather than a slide: Search Console and Analytics reads for whatever window you name. Ask through the contact form.

The made-for-advertising checklist, answered

The ANA, the 4A's, the WFA and the ISBA named five characteristics when they defined a made-for-advertising site in 2023. No single one settles it on its own; the combination does, anchored by bought traffic. Here is each one against this site.

Ad-to-content ratio at least twice the internet average, around 30% or more on desktop

Measured, not asserted. The worst surface on the site is the weight pillar. The figure and the method are above.

Measured above

Banner ads that refresh repeatedly and autoplay video

No display ad units of any kind render on this site, so nothing refreshes and no video autoplays. Commercial units are labeled affiliate placements that load with the page.

Slideshows that paginate one article across many pages

Every guide is one page. Nothing is paginated to multiply pageviews, and there is no infinite scroll.

Not present

Little organic audience, traffic bought from clickbait placements

No traffic is purchased, from any network, at any time. There has never been a paid acquisition campaign.

Not present

Generic content, often syndicated, dated or non-unique

Nothing here is syndicated or licensed in. Every figure cites the body that sets it and the date it was read, and pages that cannot be sourced are held back rather than padded.

Declared content categories

Our categories in IAB Content Taxonomy 3.1, so a contextual classifier does not have to guess at a health domain. The largest surface here is the biomarker library, which is 319 Medical Tests rather than a disease category, because a page explaining what a lab number means is not a page about having the disease.

12 of the 21 carry the taxonomy's Special Category Data flag. That flag is about privacy, not suitability: it marks categories from which sensitive inferences about a person could be built. We name them because they are the ones whose signals must never become audience segments, and we build segments from none of them.

Where nothing commercial runs

Some surfaces carry no commercial unit at all, by design rather than by omission.

  • Validated self-tests

The PHQ-9, GAD-7, ASRS, PCL-5 and AUDIT instruments. Depression and alcohol screening carry no sponsored unit on the instrument itself.

  • Editorial standards and methodology

How we work is not a place to sell.

  • Regulatory enforcement coverage

Any guide about a crackdown, a warning letter or an import alert renders no partner that could be its subject. Enforced in software, not by policy.

  • Every form and contact surface

No commercial unit on a page where a reader is typing.

Check it yourself

  • /ads.txt declares the authorized seller and, per IAB spec 1.1, the owner domain. There is no MANAGERDOMAIN because monetization is not outsourced to anyone.
  • /robots.txt names every verification and contextual crawler explicitly, including the two Google ad crawlers that ignore wildcard rules.
  • /sitemap.xml lists every indexable URL. Nothing in it is noindexed, and that is enforced by a test.
  • How we pick publishes the dated vetting record for every commercial partner, including the ones that failed and are not live.
  • Editorial standards covers sourcing, review and corrections. Every figure on the site carries the body that sets it and the date it was read.
  • The density figures come from scripts/measure_commercial_density.mjs, which measures the rendered page rather than the source. Re-measure any surface and compare.
