What to know before you sign up

Ro Body is a membership, not a drug price. The $39 first month and the $74 to $149 a month that follow buy the online visit, the prescriber, the insurance work and the follow-up; the medication is billed on top, and Ro's price page says its cash prices "match LillyDirect, NovoCare, and TrumpRx". So a cash payer is paying the manufacturer's own price for the drug plus Ro's fee for the service around it, which is worth it when the service is what you need: the insurance concierge files prior authorization for you, and Ro says a cash payer can take the first dose "in less than a week", while the insurance check "takes about 2-3 weeks".

Two things to read before you pay. The lowest advertised medication prices are the lowest doses, and several tiles carry limited-time offers with an end date, so the price you see in month one is not the price of month six at a higher dose. And while the storefront lists only FDA-approved products, the Terms of Use still allow compounded medication "during national drug shortages", and state that compounded semaglutide is not covered by insurance. Neither is a reason to avoid Ro; both are reasons to read the tile for your dose and the safety modal for the product you are actually prescribed.

As of September 23, 2026, Ro sells no compounded GLP-1, which separates it from the cash-pay programs that sell compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide.

Is Ro legit for Wegovy or Zepbound?

Ro is operated by Roman Health Ventures Inc. and dispenses through Roman Health Pharmacy LLC or partner pharmacies, per its Terms of Use. On September 23, 2026, phrase searches of the FDA warning-letter list and the FTC case library for "Roman Health" returned nothing, and a web search found no state attorney general or medical board action. The medications it sells are the FDA-approved brand products at prices it states match the manufacturers' own channels.

Does the Ro membership include the medication?

No. The membership ($39 the first month, then $74 to $149 a month depending on the plan) covers the visits, prescribing and insurance work. The drug is billed separately, from $149 a month for the lowest dose of the Wegovy pill or Foundayo and from $299 a month for the Zepbound KwikPen, at the cash prices printed on Ro's pricing page on September 23, 2026.

Does Ro sell compounded semaglutide?

Not on its storefront or price page as of September 23, 2026; its weight-loss pages name only FDA-approved brand products: Wegovy, Zepbound, Foundayo, Ozempic and Saxenda. Its Terms of Use keep the option to prescribe compounded medication during a national drug shortage, so check the product name on your prescription if a shortage is declared.

Does Ro take insurance?

Not for the membership: Ro's Terms of Use say "Ro Body is cash pay only and Ro does not accept insurance." For the medication, Ro checks your coverage, and if prior authorization is needed its insurance concierge "submits all paperwork on your behalf"; covered medication is picked up at your own pharmacy. The Wegovy pill, Foundayo and the Zepbound KwikPen are cash pay only.
